Answer: Bareboat charter regulation in Greece requires two sailing licenses/certificates. If in your country no such certificates are issued or used and therefore your crew is not in position to present them, then two members of your crew be required to fill-in an official declaration that are competent to undertake responsibility of the yacht as a skipper and CO-skipper. Demonstration of competence in offshore sailing must be of course proved to our base manager. In case handling of the yacht is obviously not very easy for you, we reserve the right to charge you and provide a local skipper.
Question:

Yacht charter fee includes all linen towels, sheets, pillows, pillows cases, blankets, yacht insurance charterer is liable up to security deposit, cooking gas, small outboard engine for the rubber dinghy and GPS. On most of our models autopilot is also included. Please check our standard inventory list for full details.

It is an amount of money depending on the type of yacht that every charterer must impose to the base manager in case damages or loss to the yacht or her equipment are made during charter time. During embarkation and disembarkation time our staff will check the yacht and every single item with the same list. Question:
Which areas in Greece can we charter and for how long ?
Answer: Every sailing area in Greece is different from the other, and for this reason we offer you a wide range of departure bases. You can check the information we provide for each area. Usually the best duration for a charter is two weeks but should you have only one week or 10 days available we can help plan your itinerary in the best way.
Question:
When should we Embark and Disembark the Yacht ?
Answer: All traditional bareboaters prefer checking-in and checking-out on Saturdays, but we can guarantee equal high standard service any day of the week according to yacht planning availability. Bareboat charter contracts begin at 17:00 h. Should you be arriving earlier, Ocean Charter Club's staff makes every possible effort that every crew boards the yacht earlier. Most times delivery of the yacht takes place around 14:00 h, unless we need to take care of serious damages to the yacht caused during the previous charter. Bareboat charter contracts terminate at 09:00 h. We strongly recommend that the charterers are reaching the port the afternoon right before disembarkation date.
Question:
Should we hire a local captain/Skipper ?
Answer: Many charterers although they can easily handle the yacht, prefer hiring a local skipper all fluent in English and/or other languages. A local skipper releases the crew from worries such as yacht mooring and guarding, scheduling fuel and water, checking weather forecast, avoiding difficulties, minor repairs, etc. Of course they will share their knowledge about the best place to dine or to swim, the worth seeing sites, museums etc. In case you hire a skipper, you still have the obligation of the Security deposit . Skipper's food should be covered every day but it is not necessary you all eat together or cover other personal expenses he makes. Skipper is never a cook or Stewart/hostess at the same time. Deck-hand/ hostess are available at extra cost.

Answer: Imagine that you will spend most of your vacation time, where it is only you the sea and the sun. Storage space onboard is limited, and hard suitcases often cause damages to the yacht's interior woods, so pack your clothes into soft bags. During daytime you will only be needing your bathing suit, T-shirts, sunglasses and sun protecting lotion. Bring beach towels with you because the existing towels on board are not designed for this purpose. A sweater and a jacket are required after sunset on most islands. Heavy weather gear is essential before April and after the end of October. What concerns papers, we will ask for your passport, charter contract and voucher issued by your agent.
